Play should be diverse and inclusive!

At Wise Education, we believe that play is not just fun—it’s fundamental. For over a decade, we’ve championed play-based learning, training teachers, supporting schools, and developing curricula that recognize the power of play in shaping young minds.

This year, we’re thrilled to celebrate the International Day of Play (IDOP) 2025, a landmark moment for global education. From 2023-2024, Wise Ed was a partner in supporting IDOP’s development through soft diplomacy, advocating for play as a critical tool for learning, social cohesion, and well-being.

Why Play Matters

Research shows that play:

  • Boosts cognitive development – enhancing problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.

  • Strengthens social-emotional skills – fostering teamwork, empathy, and resilience.

  • Supports mental health – reducing stress and anxiety in children.

Yet, millions of children—especially in marginalized communities—lack access to safe, enriching play spaces. That’s why IDOP is so important—it’s a day to celebrate, advocate, and act for every child’s right to play.

How Wise Ed is Celebrating IDOP 2025

1. Football Tournament: Talent, Culture, and Unity

We’re organizing a global football tournament to:

  • Showcase young talent – giving children a platform to shine.

  • Promote peace and inclusion – bringing together kids from diverse backgrounds, including children with disabilities (PWD).

  • Celebrate cultural exchange – through music, dance, and shared joy.

  • Global citizenship - connecting various schools around the world together to digitally share experiences

2. Green Playgrounds for Marginalized Communities

Many children grow up without safe play spaces. Our eco-friendly playgrounds will:

  • Provide sustainable, nature-based play areas in underserved regions.

  • Teach environmental stewardship through hands-on learning.

  • Improve physical health and community well-being.

3. Play Kits for Early Learning Centers

Early childhood is when play has the greatest impact. We’re distributing play-based learning kits to:

  • Equip schools with low-cost, high-impact educational tools.

  • Support teachers in implementing play-based methods.

  • Ensure every child—regardless of background—has access to joyful learning.

Join Us in Championing Play

Play is not a luxury—it’s a necessity for healthy development. This IDOP, we invite educators, policymakers, and communities to:

Advocate for play-based learning in schools.

At Wise Ed, we’ve seen firsthand how play transforms lives. Let’s make every day a day for play.
