WISE-ED Research Consortium ARC
WISE-ED believes creating evidence based and practical strategies for sustainable education, for whole child learning and lifelong learning is key for creating a more equitable and peaceful world. To profile, identify and design sustainable programs, partnerships in
research that challenge siloed thinking and support practice-led strategies and policies is key.
WISE-ED, through its partnership with universities and organizations both in the public and private sector, plans to engage in multi-sectored, and multi-national research projects in the coming 5 years with real world projects. Our research consortium plans to support the
implementation of this research. The roles of partnership include: embedding research projects in universities, linking to research grants, supporting research dialogue conferences and launches, developing virtual information sessions to disseminate information and
engage potential stakeholders and collaborators.
Wise-ed seeks to inform transformation in education to enable the growth of equitable, inclusive and quality learning, including the sustainable financing of education, relevant skills for employability and supporting the instruction of education. This must be done
through practical and tangible strategies in education that are identified, profiled and documented.
The key research targets include:
1. Identify, benchmark and disseminate evidence-based and sustainable strategies for creating resilient environments to increase participation in education.
2. Promote partnerships and collaborations for resource mobilization through branded, evidence-based, documented, sustainable projects.
3. Support pedagogies that increase training of instructors for quality 21 Century education and skills for higher order learning, social emotional learning and STEM learning including coding, and whole child learning.
4. Advocate for contemporary issues in education through the use of branding, social media campaigns and international community engagement.
Research Approaches
The strategies for comprehensive research will include desk reports, surveys, consultations, interviews and site visits. The trace studies will include mid-term and long-term impacts of interventions as well as context specific disambiguation. With the goal of informing the
international research community on upcoming best strategies, the research approaches will include: multi-national, comparative, multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder, evidence or practice-based components.
Research Thematic Activities
The goal of researching relevant thematic areas will be to further identify, profile and showcase challenges, solutions, lessons learned and ways forward in sustainable development as well as provide a resource library for reference and benchmarking. Key
